WOMEN AND NATION BUILDING
ABSTRACT
The study aims to identify and analyse women’s contributions to socioeconomic and political growth in Nigeria, with a focus on Anambra State. It was carried out with the use of both primary and secondary data sources.
The secondary source of data is used in analysing the essential concepts, while the real concerns canvased were examined by a survey research employing simple percentage in analysing opinions of associated people of society collected using structural questionnaire.
The study found that women, particularly those in Anambra Central Senatorial District, have made significant contributions to nation building in Nigeria and recommended that a clear policy that will guide women’s programmes and give them greater leverage to participate in policy formulation and implementation be adopted.
