IMPACT OF ADVERTISING ON THE MARKETING OF GLOBAL SYSTEM FOR MOBILE (GSM) IN OSUN STATE
Abstract
The research looked at the effect of advertising on the marketing of the global system for mobile (GSM) in Osun State. The goal was to determine whether the advertisement increased GSM sales or not, especially since people are increasingly using expensive and cutting-edge mobile phones for communication.
A survey method was used, and 120 questionnaires were distributed throughout Osun state. Findings show that television is one of the most effective ways of getting GSM advertisements in front of a targeted audience, with the ability to combine motion, sounds, words, color, personality, and stage setting to express and demonstrate significant features and functionality on GSM and its products, and thus advertisement increased GSM sales.
As a result, it is safe to conclude that advertising plays a significant role in changing consumer behavior and providing new patterns for purchasing or using any type of goods and services. It is the most convenient method of reaching out to customers. Advertisers should avoid illegal practices such as using a lie or deceive device to persuade GSM users.
