ABSTRACT

The project will examine at the role of broadcast journalism in Nigeria, with a focus on the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) in Lagos. It is mostly carried out to gain understanding of broadcast journalism, which deals with news writing and presentation in electronic media. It presents a Herculean effort for a journalist.

A broadcast journalist must be informed of almost everything that is happening throughout the world, which means he must know something about everything and everything about something.

As a result, the research project is separated into five chapters: The first chapter of this research focuses on the study’s topic, background, problem statement, purpose, importance, research questions, delimitation, and limitations.

The second chapter focuses on a survey of relevant literature, which includes a review of several authors in the field of broadcast journalism. The relevance, significance, and purpose of broadcast journalism.

Chapter three discusses study methodology, research design, and data analysis procedures. Chapter four is about data analysis and discussion of findings, as well as hypothesis testing.

For analysis, we use tables and percentages to demonstrate the validity and reliability of the results. Finally, Chapter 5 covers the summary, conclusion and recommendation, bibliography, and appendices.

With the information provided above, it is expected that research will not have difficulty sensitising the public about the effectiveness of Nigerian broadcast journalism.
