ABSTRACT
This study investigated utilization of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) resource and job effectiveness among library staff in the University of Calabar and Cross River University of Technology, Nigeria. To achieve the purpose of this study, four hypotheses were formulated to guide the study. Ex-post facto research design was adopted for the study. A sample of two hundred and twenty five (225) respondents was randomly selected for the study. The selection was done through the stratified random sampling technique. The questionnaire was the main Instrument used for data collection. The reliability estimate of the instruments was established through the test-retest reliability method. Pearson’s product moment correlation analysis was employed to test the hypotheses under study. Each hypothesis was tested at .05 level of significance. The results of the analysis revealed that, Library staff use of computer, use of internet, use of e-mail and use of PowerPoint significantly relate with library staff job effectiveness. Based on the findings, it was recommended that government should organise workshop to educate library staff on the use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
