Abstract: Design and Implementation of an Online School Fee Payment System
Federal Polytechnic has a considerable number of students who pay all fees in cash or bank drafts to the polytechnic accounts at certain bank branches.
These fee-payment mechanisms have proven inefficient, particularly during test and examination seasons when the majority of students are obliged to pay fees in order to access examination rooms.
The procedure of paying fees is marked by long lines, excessive waiting by students, and congestion at banks where payments are processed. The new application aims to make the process more convenient.
The research approach employed is the structured system and design methodology (SSADM), which is a globally approved software engineering methodology that is commonly used in result-oriented analysis. The programming tools utilised include HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript, with MYSQL as the data repository.
