ABSTRACT
The quality of water utilised for domestic reasons from three boreholes in Wudil Local Government (KUST Wudil, Unguwar Danya and Unguwar Fulani) was evaluated and assessed over a period of five weeks using standard methods of sampling and laboratory analysis. The parameters studied were pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), five-day biochemical oxygen demand (BOD5), nitrate ion (NO3), conductivity, hardness, temperature, total dissolved solids (TDS), and turbidity. The results revealed that there are considerable disparities between the various wards. A one-way ANOVA shows significant differences (p < 0.05) among sites and physicochemical characteristics. It is consequently recommended that the government be more effective in regulating the point source of pollution in the area.
