ANDROID OFFLOADING COMPUTATION OVER CLOUD
In this project, we present a framework for automated offloading of their smartphones’ computation-intensive applications to virtual processing over cloud via its smartphone image online. An offloading framework is proposed, which, if used by the application’s developers, enables the application to offload its compute intensive, non-interactive parts based on static analysis to the Smartphone image on the cloud. Every process chosen by the user to process a query generates a Time Stamp.
The user can choose between text and files for processing, as well as the type of processing (local/cloud/hub), before proceeding with the encryption. For each process, the Time Stamp is calculated and displayed to the user in the form of statistics. Static analysis is performed to make decision making faster and lighter than previous techniques.
This framework will enable the application to offload its compute-intensive component to the cloud via the internet after weighing the cost of offloading against the cost of running the application on the phone itself. The analysis will take into account factors such as input size and internet connectivity.
Using this framework, developers will enable applications to offload themselves without requiring the use of another application to analyze and offload parts of the application.
