ABSTRACT

This research project aims to evaluate the management and activities of Anamco Workers Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Limited, located in Eneme, Enugu state.

I aimed to investigate the society’s goals and objectives, its origins and membership, its social and business activities, its financial sources, financial rewards to members, its assets and liabilities, and the problems it faces.

In addition, I planned to collect information from both primary and secondary sources.

I used stratified random sample to pick respondents who are official members of Anammco worker’s multi-purpose cooperative society limited.

In Chapter 1, I aimed to focus on the introduction, which included the general introduction, presentation of the problem, significance of the study, aims of the investigation, scope and constraints of the study, and research questions.

In Chapter Two, I planned to focus on a literature study that would cover the full subject of Anammco workers multi-purpose co-operative society Ltd; Economic activities for addressing the demands of Anammco workers multi-purpose co-operative society Ltd.

In chapter three, I will also discuss research design and methodology. The remaining chapter should be known when I return to the field for additional investigation.

This research intended to analyse the management and activities of Anammco worker’s multipurpose co-operative society limited, located in Emene, Enugu State.

The study will look into the society’s goals and objectives, its origins and membership, its social and business activities, its financial sources, financial benefits to members, its assets and liabilities, and the issues it faces.

This study acquired data from both primary and secondary sources.
To choose respondents, the stratified random sampling approach was utilised. The respondents were officials and members of Anammco Workers Multi-purpose Co-operative Society Limited.

Questionnaires and oral interviews were utilised to elicit the necessary responses from the respondents. The data analysis revealed the current management and activities of the Anammco worker’s cooperative association.

The findings demonstrated that officers who are democratically chosen on an annual basis manage society.
The society’s business activities include offering loans to members at reasonable rates and selling high-quality products at its consumer shop.

The society’s social activities include delivering bonuses or gifts to its members, particularly during festival seasons, as well as assisting members with marriages, burials, naming ceremonies, housing, medical bills, and other matters.

The main sources of finance for the organisation include thrift savings, interest from loans issued to members, levies paid by members, and the mother firm, the Anambra Motoring firm (ANAMMCO).

The society preserved several books and records, including committee minutes, member’s registers, cash books, personal ledgers, and attendance registers. Furthermore, the survey found that society is dealing with issues such as macro and micro variables (effects) on the economy, insufficient government support, and so on.

The study recommended ongoing education for both management and society members, establishing a well-equipped consumer shop, hiring more cooperative field officers, electing honest and loyal officers, and regularly evaluating the society’s goals and objectives.

These and other initiatives will enhance the management and activities of the ANAMMCO worker’s cooperative society limited.
