COMPUTER AIDED LEARNING OF BASIC SCIENCE SUBJECTS.

COMPUTER AIDED LEARNING OF BASIC SCIENCE SUBJECTS ABSTRACT
This project work on Computer Aided Learning of Basic scientific Subjects establishes an environment in which scientific learning and evaluation are enjoyable, and learning opportunities are equitable for rural and urban learners.

The Computer Aided Learning Basic Science Subjects is largely presented to improve learning quality by making “Learning Play,” “Assessment Fun,” and “Equal Knowledge for All” a priority.

The goal of the computer-aided learning of fundamental science subject programme is to attract students, keep them in school, and improve educational quality through text-based educational content.

Reducing illiteracy in science is also the concept underlying this project effort, as is the problem of pupils being scared away from science due to the perception that computation is difficult.

The goal of the Computer Assisted Learning Programme is to achieve it through the presentation of the material in a readable fashion, as well as thought-provoking jokes.

The aided instruction programme increases learners’ enthusiasm in school academics, resulting in increased school attendance and better exam achievement.

The teaching process, with the integration of IT in the classroom and the improvement of learners and teachers, promotes learning and productivity while also making learners better prepared to enter any education and continue with Computer Education at a higher level.

COMPUTER AIDED LEARNING OF BASIC SCIENCE SUBJECTS, CHAPTER ONE
1.1 BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

Science is made up of courses that serve as the foundation for the majority of scientific, engineering, and medical fields of study. Students are terrified of physics, chemistry, and maths subjects.

This is referred to as “Science Phobia” in the scientific community. Science and technology rule the international economy nowadays, thus students are pushed to be technologically minded.

The term science is derived from the Latin word “Scentia,” which means “knowledge.” Knowledge gained via study or practise, or knowledge encompassing general truths about the functioning of general laws and tested through scientific study methods connected with the physical world.

With the difficulties pronounced, it is necessary for students to study using instruments they will enjoy using so that their attention may be brought to the basic concepts, much as children are designed to learn with toys. This work aims to alleviate this anxiety by utilising computer-based multimedia resources.

It also aims to make science disciplines more approachable, friendly, and less stressful. While learning, the user can also perform other tasks on his system. The senior secondary school is used to treat this notion, its invention, and its level of development in detail.

1.2 STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Mathematics, physics, and chemistry are the fundamental building blocks for success in any science profession.

The need to develop and improve fundamental scientific education is critical for a variety of reasons.

Students have poor follow-up after tutoring, poor performance in fundamental science subject examinations, and a decrease in the number of students choosing to pursue science due to their feelings and science phobia.

We also have kids that are unable to cope with science because of a lack of science background and information delivered to students without sufficient illustration by the teacher.

1.3 OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

This research project effort has a wide range of objectives.

Providing access to a variety of information and content that would not have been available or accessible otherwise. In this study, there is a great requirement for interaction through the tutor, which gives the pupils the impression that they are being aided or assisted by an instructor.

Creating an environment that encourages an active approach to learning, developing a systematic approach to make science study more enjoyable in order to help students improve in science, and possibly making users solve questions at different steps while the answers to frequently asked questions are stored in the software to assist students.

1.4 SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This project’s relevance involves what students will learn academically as a result of the study or exercise, and it is to assist and encourage students in collaborative learning, as well as to inspire students to take responsibility for their own learning.

Complementing classroom instruction demonstrates the computer’s great multi-usefulness and stimulates students through the appropriate use of interactive courseware.

1.5 SCOPE OF THE STUDY

This study focuses on a tutorial on secondary school basic scientific subjects restricted to SS1 beginning mathematics and chemistry themes.

1.6 LIMITATIONS OF STUDY

Every work has limits, and this study is no exception.

The steady electricity power supply or alternative source, time limits within which the study is expected to be finished, and cost restraints are among the limitations of this study.

The power outage prevented the programme from working and being completed on time. Due to time constraints, the researcher is unable to conduct an in-depth investigation and analysis of the subject matter.

While financial constraints limit the company’s frequency of investigation towards acquiring the necessary information pertinent to the study.

1.7 DEFINITION OF TERMS

A teacher is someone who teaches as a profession or an event, idea, or object from which anything might be learnt.

Tutor: an instructor who instructs an individual student or a small group of students, particularly those who need remedial instruction.

Software includes programmes and applications that may be run on a computer system, such as word processing and database packages Aided: the act of directing someone through something.

Test: An examination or evaluation. a set of questions, problems, or practical exercises designed to assess a person’s knowledge, aptitude, or experience

Science:

1. physical world study: the study of the physical and natural world and phenomena, particularly via systematic observation and experimentation (frequently used before a noun)

2. branch of science: a specific field of study or understanding about the physical worldthe biological sciences

3. systematic body of knowledge: a body of knowledge concerning a specific subject that is systematically organised.the social sciences

4. something examined or conducted methodically: a task that has been carefully studied or is carried out in accordance with a specified procedurethe science of success clothing

5. scientific knowledge: information gained via the study of the physical world
