Chapter One: Introduction

This was tedious and inconvenient in hotels that still function manually today. This progressive evolution in hotel business billing systems lasted until recently, when computers were invented as an electronic technique of processing data.

Details about each room are maintained in memory, and when a guest registers, the guest list is promptly updated, and that specific room is removed from the list of those available for rent. Because the algorithm is so exact, it is unlikely that two persons will be assigned to the same room.
