DESIGN AND IMPLEMENTATION OF STUDENT EVALUATION PROGRAM
ABSTRACT
Teachers’ classroom evaluation practices have a significant impact on student progress. According to educational research, achievement monitoring and feedback are critical components of the teaching-learning process.
This project is designed using a computer-based programme with five subsystems: the file subsystem, which allows administrators to change passwords and register new students, the compute result subsystem
which records and saves all student results to a database, and the report subsystem, which displays students’ profiles, results, and the number of students in the school.
All of this provides classroom teachers with direct support to classroom instruction as well as knowledge on appropriate classroom evaluation procedures, using Daughters of Divine Love Juniorate Secondary School as an example. This programme was developed using Visual Basic 6.0 and the Microsoft Access database.
