Introduction
1.1 Background of the Study
In the early centuries, cooperative groups existed. This means that they began prior to the creation of the Earth. The holy spirits or trimly (God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit) worked together to create the world. Several variables contributed to this outcome.
Furthermore, throughout the Stone Age, there was a necessity for cooperation between men and wonders. This occurred in the agricultural sector, where it was limited to families.
Things gradually improved, and eventually there was a cooperative farming system. This arose due to a number of circumstances, including the necessity for it.
More countries began to engage in business, exchanging goods and services from one country to another or between states. Certain elements contributed to this because there is a demand for it.
That is, nothing can exist without a need for it, or without specific causes that must have led to it, such as collaboration among people states.
Countries and the world as a whole are not for fetching, but rather for satisfying or measuring desires. These factors listed in this initial section can be positive or bad.
1.1 Statement of the Problem
As previously said, the elements that can impact the formation of cooperatives can be beneficial or bad. These factors vary by state, country, and so on. But the most crucial factor is the type of cooperative or the members who participate in its activities.
In recent times, many people and experts have attempted to discuss the elements that can impact the formation of cooperatives. This is because a large number of people, according to their own view, have failed to understand what these components are and frequently mistake them for reasons.
To put it simply, these universes are not the same. Later in this project, the distinction between factors and motives will be discussed.
However, in Awka North Anambra state, there are numerous elements that can influence cooperative formation. According to Mr. L.M. Ejwnye (chief registration of cooperatives in Anambra state), the elements that impact cooperative establishment in Awka North, Anambra State.
In essence, these elements are those wants, desires, or setbacks that have resulted in the identification of demands and the organisation of resources for the goal of establishment.
Despite the circumstances that have led to the development of cooperatives, many of these cooperative societies continue to fail and collapse, which is caused by a variety of factors.
1.2 PURPOSE OF THE STUDY
This academic research is intended to assess the viability of elements that can influence cooperative establishment as well as the socioeconomic status of cooperative members and society as a whole in Awka, North Anambra State. The factors are as follows:
To understand how these elements have benefited cooperatives and its members, as well as the general public.
To understand how these factors contributed to the creation of cooperatives in Awka, North Anambra State.
To find out how many cooperatives have failed in Awka North, Anambra State.
To determine the number of cooperatives that still exist in Awka North Anambra State.
To assess the impact of cooperatives on the economy of Awka North Anambra State.
To explain how cooperatives have managed to reduce unemployment in Awka, North Anambra State.
To investigate the issues preventing the creation of cooperatives in Awka, North Anambra State.
Research Hypotheses
To ensure the study’s success, the researcher developed the following research hypotheses:
H0: No factors benefited cooperatives, their members, or the wider public.
H1: There are elements that have benefited cooperatives and its members, as well as the wider public.
