ABSTRACT
Cooperatives that have been for a long time are still in existence today due to specific factors, as the case study in this project shows. But, for the umpteenth time, people confuse motives with reasons for joining cooperatives.
However, the goal of this project is to identify the elements that influence the formation of cooperatives in Owerri L.G.A. An attempt will be made to differentiate the term mortise from elements that can impact the establishment of cooperatives.
The first chapter will cover the background of the faction, the objective of the study, and the significance of research questions. The scope and limits of the study
The second chapter will focus on a literature review that will include books, news papers, periodicals, journals, and other works by authors on the same issue, with an emphasis on the historical background of cooperatives in Owerri L.G.an Imo state, etc.
In Chapter 3, the emphasis will be on study design and methodology, the source of data, which will be derived from both primary and secondary data, as well as the instruments utilised, sample size (population), sample technique, and the return of a complete questionnaire.
The fourth chapter’s presentation will focus on data analysis and interpretation.
Finally, the fifth and final chapter will give a summary of research findings. Also, conclusions and recommendations The appendix and bibliography will be supplied.
