ABSTRACT
Virtual reality (VR) is a rapidly developing computer interface that attempts to completely immerse the user within an experimental recreation, greatly increasing the overall impact and providing a much more intuitive link between the computer and the human participants.
The primary goal of this research is to design a tractor trailer capable of meeting the needs of customers and suitable for rough terrain to be used in conjunction with a farm tractor in India. The final concept is capable of providing arrangements for easily attaching the trailer to the tractor via pickup hitch, stronger and lighter supporting frame, spare tire option, and so on.
Furthermore, the resulting product design can be sent to customers via the Internet for feedback or marketing purposes. As a result, the virtual prototyping (VP) system facilitates advanced product design while also significantly reducing product development time and cost.
I. INTRODUCTION
In the commercial world of specialized practice, research projects can be concerned with large-scale industrial invention and even the design of entire systems, or they can result in decisive advantages for small-and-medium-sized industries by allowing their products or components to achieve technical or functional dominance in a globally competitive environment.
Given the highly competitive industrial environment in which the companies are currently operating, every product development must be rapid, technologically satisfactory, and cost-effective. As a result of these constraints, companies tend to underestimate aspects such as human factor integration, and many current products are not designed to meet end user expectations [1].
In general, the product development process consists of gathering requirements, conceptual design, engineering, manufacturing, and finally market release. Collaboration and communication between all stakeholders (including designers and engineers, customers, marketers, and managers) is essential for successful product development at all stages of the development process.
Horizontal communication has been identified as an important tool for achieving this support. Sketches and drawings, for example, aid in communication between designers and CAD systems.
