FOREIGN TELEVISION PROGRAMME ON THE SOCIAL BEHAVIOUR

Abstract

Television has been praised as a potent medium of mass communication as technology has advanced. Interestingly, television programs cover the spectrum of human effort, including politics, culture, and education.

Udeajah (2004, p.7) confirms this, stating that: “We all know that truth broadcasting has become an indispensable form for the practice of politics and governance in all modern nation states.” The reasons are really straightforward.

No other medium can provide politicians or the government with a larger and more immediate audience than radio. Broadcasting is widely regarded as a highly effective medium, with its ubiquitous presence in homes, workplaces, and transportation. It’s like a second skin that allows most people to connect with their local surroundings and the rest of the world.
