Abstract
This study conducted an empirical investigation on the effects of an infectious pandemic on service provision, specifically focusing on the case of the coronavirus disease. The aims of this study were to analyse the degree of coronavirus disease in Nigeria, investigate the impact of coronavirus disease on the level of service delivering in Nigeria.
The scope of the study is all suppliers of services in Nigeria, The infectious illness transmission mechanism theory was employed as a framework. The research design utilised for this study is survey
the population targeted for this study consists of all suppliers of services across the country. 400 service suppliers were utilised as sample size and cluster sampling approach was applied.
Instrument utilised for this investigation is the questionnaire. Data acquired were collected from primary sources. From the study of the data, the findings shows that the degree of coronavirus disease in Nigeria as compared to other nations is average, coronavirus disease has effect on the level of service delivering in Nigeria.
Following the findings, it was proposed that measures should be devised to restrict the spread of the virus and vaccination created so as to prevent future effect on service giving activities. The study concludes that coronavirus illness has a negative effect on service providing.
