INTRODUCTION
1.1 Background of the Study.
In today’s technologically advanced world, management training has an undeniable impact on staff productivity. This suggests that the impact of management training on staff productivity can have a direct impact on employee traits like dedication, motivation, and skill.
Employees with those characteristics are more likely to improve organisational performance in terms of productivity, quality, and a variety of high levels of customer service delivery, and as such aspects of organisational performance improve, so will the organization’s financial results.
In fact, Armstrong (2001) defines training as the teaching or development of skills and knowledge related to specific valuable competences in oneself or others. Training includes specific goals for increasing one’s capacity, capability, productivity, and performance.
According to the definition of training, its impact on employee productivity can help management build a high-performance strategy that is backed by performance and reward initiatives.
Furthermore, training can cover policies and practices related to organisational development, engagement, resourcing, learning and development, and employee relations.
Through management training, managers in organisations can readily make decisions to improve existing policies and practices or implement new ones. It has been one of the most often used ways for increasing individual productivity and conveying organisational goals to both new and existing employees.
The purpose of this study is to look into the impact of various training benefits on employee productivity in organisations, namely Siba Group Company Limited.
1.2 Statement of Problem
Management’s failure to identify the influence of apprenticeship on increasing employee quality/quantity produced over a set period of time.
Irregular job rotation has resulted in a decline in staff output over a specified period of time.
organisations lack the knowledge to understand the impact of vestibule training on increasing employee productivity.
Management’s incapacity to investigate the impact of Staff Meetings on increased employee output over a set period of time.
Organisations are unable to determine the influence of role-playing on increasing employee quality/quantity produced in a given time frame.
1.3 Objectives of the Study
To determine the influence of apprenticeship on increasing employee quality/quantity produced over a set length of time.
To determine the influence of job rotation on increasing employee output over a set length of time.
To investigate the effect of vestibule training on increasing employee quality/quantity produced over a set length of time.
To investigate the influence of Staff Meetings on increased employee output over a set period of time.
Determine the influence of Role Playing on increasing employee quality/quantity generated in a particular period of time.
1.4 Research Questions.
How does apprenticeship affect employee quality/quantity generated during a certain time period?
How does job rotation affect the amount of production produced by employees during a certain time period?
How does vestibule training affect employee quality/quantity generated over a specific time period?
How can a Staff Meeting enhance employee output?
How can role playing affect employee quality/quantity generated over a given time period?
1.5 Significance of the Study
This study will assist management in all sectors of the economy, including the Siba Group of Companies, in identifying the need for staff training, particularly in today’s dynamic and competitive economic climate.
It will assist organisations in areas such as goal planning, collaborative issue solving, investment supervision, and end-of-project evaluation, among others.
It will assist management in minimising the possibility of misinterpretation by understanding what individuals are actually saying and why.
It will help them cope with tough people, manage uncomfortable situations, and resolve staff conflicts.
It will enable the organisation to properly manage time and work assignments.
This research will also assist management in defining and implementing a method for tracking employee actions.
It will be used as a reference material for future studies by students and scholars alike.
1.6 Scope of Study
This study focuses on the impact of management training on employee productivity. A case study of Siba Group of Companies, Ikot Ekpene, Akwa Ibom State.
1.7 Limitations of the Study
The researcher faces numerous challenges, including stress, time constraints, and low response rates from respondents.
Financial Factor: Inadequate funding had an impact on data collection because the researcher had to travel vast distances to distribute the research questionnaire forms.
Material Factor: A lack of suitable materials for a literature research to get more information about the topic.
Time Factor: The study’s sample size was reduced due to time constraints.
However, in order to prevent and minimise these problems in the future, the researcher proposed that adequate time be allotted in order to obtain excellent information and provide better results. Materials should be made available in the school library to help the researcher learn more about the study.
