Abstract
This paper discusses a strategy for integrating information literacy instruction sessions and other intermediate consumer community links through the creation of a library presence on a campus online learning management system, Blackboard. Core information literacy tutorials and assessments are supplemented on this site with subject area library links, podcasts, blogs, and RSS feeds.
The academic library Blackboard site also serves as a model for information and links added to faculty Blackboard sites to promote library resources to their students. A review of the literature is used to determine the extent to which the use of learning management systems improves academic library services.
