ABSTRACT

Teacher motivation is inherently linked to teachers’ desire to participate in the educational process. Motivation is widely thought to be a positive factor that influences an individual’s conduct and performance at work.

The study addresses the motivational needs of teachers. The variables that contribute to teachers’ lack of motivation and measures for increasing motivational needs include societal needs, good school buildings, and entitlement.

Furthermore, insufficient income and entitlement payment, bad school building conditions, and a lack of respect from society are all factors contributing to a lack of teacher motivation.

However, restoring teachers’ former grandeur will go a long way towards motivating them; pay must be paid on time, as well as instructional facilities, in order to increase instructors’ productivity.
