ABSTRACT
Owerri is a rapidly expanding metropolis, thanks in large part to its role as Imo State’s commercial nerve hub following the Nigerian civil war. The study sheds light on the nature and status of recreational properties in Owerri.
The global economic crisis and its consequences have contributed significantly to the difficulty of real estate management and development. The project study aims to examine the various types of recreational properties, their condition, and availability in Owerri.
To collect enough data for this investigation, the following approaches were used: questionnaires, interviews, and personal observation. Data acquired from both secondary and primary sources were analysed using percentage distribution and degrees to allow for the comparison of the various responses from the respondents. Reasonable recommendations were made to improve recreational amenities and property management in Owerri.
