ABSTRACT
This study was conducted to determine the importance of Information and Communication Technologies in modern offices. The secretary, who is an integral part of the office, has been affected in some way by the advent of modern information technologies.
Determine whether new equipment has displaced the secretary’s position or improved the secretary’s efficiency.
How will information technology lessen the workload of a secretary?
The research used the entire staff population as a sample size. The population consisted of 40 bank employees.
Data were collected using a questionnaire and direct observation. The data was collected, displayed, and analysed using table and percentage technologies. Cash does not replace secretaries, but rather improves their efficiency.
The researcher thus recommends that every secretary strive to improve their abilities and understanding of new technologies in order to better equip themselves for the demands of information technology.
