ABSTRACT
The strategies for effective management of cooperative business organisations cannot be overstated, as the success or failure of any business setting or establishment is mostly determined by the efficiency of the methods used.
The ultimate goal of this research is to critically investigate ways for effective administration of cooperative business organisations in order to improve the socioeconomic situations of members of the cooperative thrift and loan society limited.
Federal Polytechnic Nekede Owerri, and Nigeria in general. Based on my research, I believe that in order for cooperative business organisations to be efficiently managed, members should work together to provide cooperatives with assistance and encouragement.
The government should assist cooperatives in getting loans from financial institutions, and financial aid from outside sources should be provided to cooperatives when they begin operations or face financial barriers to expansion or transformation.
A public promotion and education campaign should be developed for members. Cooperatives should receive exemptions or reductions in subsidies and taxes.
