Tense and Aspect in Ogbunike Igbo.

Igbo language is made up of many dialects that comprise the Igbo speaking areas of the country and is marked by certain tense and aspect, just like any other language in the world, which are used to indicate the time of events/actions as well as the duration, inception, continuity, and completion of such events/actions.

These Igbo dialects each have their own tense and aspect, or they are related in some way. In this study, the author aims to research and expose tense and aspect as found in the Ogbunike dialect, which is one of the Igbo speaking populations, i.e.

whether there are any tense markers and how they are implemented. Also, to show how these tenses and aspects connect to normal Igbo, and whether there are any similarities or discrepancies.
