ABSTRACT

The goal of the study is to find out how reduced glutathione (GSH) and sodium citrate affect arginase from human fibriod tissue. According to the study, a particular interaction between the partially purified arginase enzyme and its substrate was discovered. The study demonstrates that altering the content of sodium citrate and reduced glutathione (GSH) as substrates at constant volume led to, respectively, uncompetitive and competitive inhibition of enzymes. The study’s findings demonstrate that the inhibition of arginase by various enzyme inhibitors offers a promising strategy for treating aberrant arginase activities in uterine muscle cell proliferation, which results in fibroid.
