THE PROBLEM OF COMPUTER EDUCATION CENTER LOCATIONS IN RURAL AREAS

CHAPTER ONE

INTRODUCTION

BACKGROUND OF STUDY

Recently, computer education centres have been established for training and instructing students at home and abroad. Some of these centres are used in local and large towns where network is available, such as in factories, making records of students’ continuous assistance, and other processes. Computers are also used to determine the amount of crude oil found in a particular location.

The economies of developing nations are typically dominated by agriculture or revenues from primary resources such as oil and other minerals, but few are willing to remain reliant on these products. It is the objective of every developing nation to establish computer education centres, as the advanced nations’ power and wealth are based on the development of computer education. However, most developing nations engage in small-scale, cottage-style computer education centres that are highly developed.

Modern computer education centers are typically geared toward large-scale factory computer centers. During the era of the great leap forward, nations such as the United States, India, and China, which attempted to establish computer education centres by enticing students, discovered that they lacked the necessary network infrastructure.

The establishment of computer education is intended to facilitate individual growth and learning in developing nations where new factories can be constructed. Numerous concessions are granted to the computer industry. The primary factors influencing the growth of computer education centers on such property are browsing orientation and labor availability.

The objective of computer education centres is to modify materials so that they serve new purposes and satisfy different needs. Typically, computers are carried out in factories using mechanical power. In the absence of machinery, the activities may be classified as handicraft rather than manufacturing computer education centres. This is only made possible by the improvement of exchange means, as transport becomes easier and a monetary economy becomes more widespread.

The term computer education centres revolution refers to the historical transformation of traditional to modern society brought about by computerization of knowledge; it is a dynamic increase in per capital production of manufacturing and other processes carried out in factories. Its primary social impact was to transform an agrarian society into an urban society with computer education centres.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

Since Nigeria’s independence, rural education centres’ computerization has been neglected. For the development of any community, computer education centres and employment opportunities are essential. Despite this fact, rural areas have completely abandoned computerization.

In Edo state and Egor in particular, the development of computer education centres has lagged behind. In light of the preceding, the researcher intends to respond to the following question:

Is lack of investment capital accountable for the absence of computer education centers in rural areas?

Does investment lack the entrepreneurial skills necessary to establish computer education centers in rural areas?

Is the lack of infrastructure facilities responsible for the backwardness of computer education centers in rural areas?

This study’s objectives include

1. To identify the obstacles to the establishment of computer education centers in rural areas.

To investigate the issue and future of computer education centers in rural areas.

To assess the economic significance of computer education centres in rural areas.

4. Provide potential solutions to the identified problem of computer education centre location in Egor
