ABSTRACT
The purpose of this research is to investigate secretarial training as a useful resource for any company’s IT department. Information and communication technology refers to the study of using electronic equipment for storing or analysing information, whereas training is more generally described as the capacity to obtain a certain skill or body of knowledge needed to execute a given profession. In today’s dynamic and unpredictable world, it is essential for the continued existence and progress of our nation. It is imperative that both current and future secretaries receive sufficient funding to attend training both inside and outside the nation.

INTRODUCTION
1.0 Background of the Study
Training secretaries is an organization’s most important function, and it has a profound impact on IT. If secretaries are to continue playing an important role in helping organisations achieve their goals, it is imperative that they receive adequate training to help them become more effective communicators and information workers in this age of rapid technological advancement.
Maximising the use of each employee’s abilities within the context of the firm is the primary objective of any personnel policy. To get there, you need have solid training in this curriculum for information and communication technologies.
Training on information and communication technology for different types of secretaries should be planned by the training manager with the help of department heads to achieve this purpose.
From the moment they are born, people receive one form of training or another. A child’s initial teachers include their parents, their community, and the formal educational system.
Although training is typically done only once for new hires, it should actually be an ongoing activity in every company and in everyone’s life in order to maximise productivity and efficiency.
Training aims to alter one’s demeanour and conduct in order to accomplish a satisfactory rescue; also, she must maintain her proficiency in information technology in order to satisfy her company. It is impossible to overstate the many advantages that the personnel gained from training.
Training costs money, but it’s money well spent. We are called upon to come up with fearless and daring projects because information technology is the foundation for our nation’s prosperity and survival in a world that is changing at a dizzying pace.
Nigeria would still be in the dark about what’s happening in other developed countries if it weren’t for technology. However, as ICT usage has grown globally, so has awareness of the critical role that information plays in facilitating development.
Secretaries who have received IT training are not only more competent in their current roles, but also more equipped to handle any challenges that may arise in the future.
1.1 The Statement Of The Problem
To guarantee the effective realisation of the organization’s purpose, every organisation takes a different approach to enhancing the technical problem-solving abilities of its personnel. Meanwhile, training is one way to improve human skills in an organisation.
It’s unfortunate that most famous companies in the country don’t invest much in training their employees on new techniques, which leads to low productivity and profits.
On the flip side, it’s worth noting that some training organisations don’t use the right technique when running their programs, which results in underwhelming performance from staff and a waste of money that could have been invested in their education.
It has also been noted that organisations fail to implement technical equipment as needed, which demoralises workers and ultimately results in low production.
