CHAPTER ONE
INTRODUCTION
CONTEXT FOR STUDY
This study is a case study of students from the Ekiadolor-Benin college of education and focuses on the difficulties they encounter during teaching practice. Before I begin, I will define the term “teaching practice.” Teaching practice is defined as an educational program designed to allow student teachers to apply their theoretical knowledge in a real-world school setting. It gives the student teachers the opportunity to gain practical experience in the field. In the majority of cases, this goal is not met. Consequently, this project investigation is essential.
STATEMENT OF PROBLEMS
In this section, we will examine why this case study is so important. In the majority of instances, the objective of the teaching practice program is not met. This is due to issues originating from either the students, the environment, or unforeseeable events. This is something we will investigate.
PURPOSE OF STUDY
Under these subheadings, the purpose of the study is highlighted. In order to achieve the goals and objectives of teaching practice, the purpose of these research findings is to eliminate problems such as those identified and discovered.
SIGNIFICANCE OF STUDY
Significance of study refers to the significance of this case study, and the significance of this study is to eliminate these issues so that teaching practice can be an engaging and profound exercise that brings out the skills, efficiency, and effectiveness of the students in order to achieve the desired educational objective. This will result in a better future for the developing child as a result of competent educators. Then we will achieve the nation’s goals and objectives for society and the nation as a whole.
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
The following research questions were developed for the purpose of this study.
Is teaching practice conducted at your school?
Is teaching practice essential to teacher preparation?
Should student teaching be considered a graduation requirement?
Do you, as a teacher, instruct students five days per week?
Teachers of students attend school every day of the week.
Does the school where you are assigned require you to take courses outside of your specialty?
Is money an issue during teaching practicum?
Does the school provide you with the necessary teaching materials?
BASIC ASSUMPTION
This refers to one’s own ideas. The condition that is expected to be met in this investigation is that those who are able to ands on this work in the near future and have the time and patience to read it will be able to assist students in their teaching preparation because there are credible and valid information that is anticipated to be useful in the future.
SCOPE OF THE RESEARCH
The study’s scope refers to the area that will be examined. This is the location where the case study will be conducted.
DEFINITION OF TERMS
Teaching is the process of imparting knowledge to another individual.
Practice is the act of doing something until it is perfect.
Abilities: teaching or methodical approach to a task.
These are the materials that aid the teacher in the cause of education.
Ineffectiveness in performing tasks is a handicap.
Lacking something, such as money, buoyant financially.
Training is the process of acquiring the ability to perform tasks.
