FUNCTIONS OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT IN RURAL DEVELOPMENT
ABSTRACT
Local governments are close to the ground under a federal system like Nigeria and can thus be effective socially, economically, and politically.
Local governments can supplement the economic activity of higher levels of government by providing and maintaining basic infrastructure. The first chapter of this research project work discusses the study’s backdrop. It illustrates the reason for establishing local government.
The second chapter of this research study examines the nature and role of local government in rural development in Nigeria.
The third chapter describes the research methodology, which is the instrument utilised to collect data and information.
The fourth chapter of this study work discusses data presentation and analysis, as well as research findings.
The summary, conclusion, and recommendation are covered in Chapter 5 of this research project work.
