IMPACT OF INFECTIOUS EPIDEMIC ON EXPORTATION
ABSTRACT
This study investigated the impact of an infectious outbreak on exports using a case study of coronavirus illness. The goals of this study were to determine the prevalence of coronavirus disease in Nigeria and to assess the impact of coronavirus disease on Nigerian exports.
The study focuses on crude oil exportation in Nigeria, and the infectious illness transmission mechanism theory serves as a framework. This study’s research design is a survey, and the population targeted is all NNPC staff. The sample size for this study was 20 NNPC employees, and the cluster sampling technique was used.
This study’s instrument is a questionnaire. Data were acquired from original sources. According to the data analysis, the level of coronavirus disease in Nigeria is average when compared to other nations, and coronavirus disease has an impact on export levels.
Following the findings, it was recommended that steps be developed to control the virus’s spread and that a vaccine be developed to avoid further reliance on exportation efforts. The study finds that coronavirus illness has a detrimental impact on exports.
