ABSTRACT
This study experimentally investigated the influence of an infectious pandemic on service delivery using a case study of coronavirus illness. The goals of this study were to analyse the prevalence of coronavirus disease in Nigeria and to investigate the influence of coronavirus disease on the quality of service delivery in Nigeria.
The study’s scope includes all service suppliers in Nigeria, and the infectious illness transmission mechanism theory serves as a framework. This study’s research design is a survey, and the population addressed is all service suppliers across the country. The sample size was 400 service suppliers, and a cluster sampling technique was used.
This study’s instrument is a questionnaire. Data were acquired from original sources. According to the data analysis, the level of coronavirus disease in Nigeria is average when compared to other nations, and coronavirus disease has an impact on service delivery in Nigeria.
Following the findings, it was advised that measures be developed to control the virus’s spread and a vaccine be developed to avoid future reliance on service delivery operations. The study finds that coronavirus illness has a negative impact on service delivery.
