ABSTRACT
In Nigeria, a driver’s licence is an official document that authorises its holder to operate various types of motor vehicles on highways and other public roadways. In Nigeria, they are overseen by the Road Safety Commission.
A driving licence is necessary in Nigeria for anyone driving a vehicle on any highway or other road defined in Section 192 of the Road Traffic Act of 1988, regardless of who owns the property over which the road travels, including numerous that allow the public to cross private land.
This project on Online Driving Licencing Registration and Renewal System will make it easier to document driving licence registration and licencing in Nigeria. It will also assist the Road Safety Commission in tracking down those who are not permitted to drive automobiles due to the non-issuance of a driver’s licence.
As a result, the adoption will assist the government gain cash while also facilitating timely driver licencing. This system is recommended for use in other licencing offices, both inside and outside of the country.
The system is built with PHP as the programming language, MySQL as the database management system, JavaScript as the scripting language, HTML as the presentation language, CSS as the stylesheet language, and WAMP as the local development server. This project’s software methodology is the waterfall paradigm.
